Roger Dubuis Excalibur is the latest addition to Roger Dubuis, a house that has made hyper watchmaking its flag. With the launch of the new Excalibur Single Flying Tourbillon, Roger Dubuis once again demonstrates that he represents an exciting way of experiencing watchmaking, best summed up by the maison’s motto: No rules, Our game, or “the only rule is that there are no rules”.

The new design, a true contemporary masterpiece, is characterized by essential lines both on the case and on the movement. Creating the impression of a more subtle aesthetic and a lighter fit, also accentuated by the feeling of transparency and depth, the caliber has been completely rebuilt to create an architectural miracle, embodied by the star Roger Dubuis, who now floats above the barrel.

The strong visual identity is entrusted to a two-line motif, arranged in such a way that it can seem that they will meet, even if this will never happen. A motif that is repeated throughout the watch, from the grooves on the crown and bezel, on the arms of the star, on the tourbillon cage, on the hour markers and on the hands.

Aesthetics and dynamism amplified by the Geneva Seal, the most uncompromising of the high quality watchmaking brands, since it requires that every single component of the watch be decorated by hand.

To these finishes are added, to testify to the visionary approach of Roger Dubuis, unexpected decorations in modern Haute Horologerie, such as the upper surfaces with circular brushing and polished corners.

An aesthetic that does not, however, give up comfort: the Maison has created a new range of straps, in five sizes, so that the owner of this masterpiece can always have the buckle centred on the wrist, while a quick release system offers maximum flexibility.

The 42mm case is available in just 88 pieces per colour: Titanium DLC dark grey, CarTech Micro-Melt BioDur CCMTM chrome-cobalt and the new EON GOLD – a rose gold shade that remains more stable thanks to anti-oxidation technology.
